Jewelry Collection

This collection shall inspire women to engage actively in digital design and production, empower them to create their own, personal products. It is important to change our behaviour, from a passive consumer to an active producer, and equally important for women to be more engaged in IT, digital design and production.

This jewelry collection has been designed and prototyped in a makerspace, making the story behind its development as important as the final product. I had the opportunity to speak at a TEDx Event about “the transformative power of knowledge”, and my experience with the global network of local makers.

Jewelry is a central decorative item for women, but are often also cumbersome, due to the weight or specific choice of material. I developed a new and special jewelry with unique and elegant design, stable and washable material that has a very light weight. This collection was directly inspired by nature and every piece has a meaning. For example, “the complementarity of genders” or, the “order in the apparent chaos”. Clients have consistently reported that they forget they are wearing the earrings because they can hardly feel them. The only time they remember is when people compliment the style!
